I completely disagree with some negative views about online courses. When choosing, it may be useful to reflect on:- Interaction: does the course propose interactions among students? Is there active participation, or is the class a monologue? Is Networking stimulated?- Mix between theory and practice: do the classes offer hands-on dynamics in which students can put their knowledge into practice? Can they apply online research methods? Do students receive recommendations for articles and books to delve deeper into if they wish?- Employability: are the institution and teachers recognized by the market? Does the course facilitate new professional achievements?Do some research on the students' course experience before enrolling!

The best way to assess course quality for me is to ask a few people who have done it."What did you learn?""What would you say is the level of the course material?""Do you use what you learned at work?""Do you think it was worth the investment?""What do you think of the instructor?""How long did it take you to finish it?"And of course, "Do you think it made you more employable?" if you're in a jobhunt / promotion cycle.Do not be surprised if their personal experience do not reflect online ratings.This due diligence is important especially if you're going to invest a large sum of money and, or, time.
